White & Case assists in the acquisition of Candyking
White & Case assisted Accent Equity Partners in connection with the acquisition of Candyking International Ltd from Oy Karl Fazer AB and minority shareholders. Candyking is the leading distributor of pick & mix candy (bulk candy) on the Nordic market and also has a strong position on the British market under the Candyking brand. The deal was signed 20 December, 2007.
The White & Case team in Stockholm consisted of Ulf Johansson, Johan Renström, Henrik Wireklint, Charlotte Ahlberg, Jacob Lundström, Eva Johansson and Carolina Bruce.

Anders Reldén and Claes Zettermarck educate arbitrators
Anders Reldén will be giving a seminar about "Expedited arbitration and the role as respectively, sole arbitrator and party appointed arbitrator" on 22 January and on
1 April Claes Zettermarck will be giving a seminar titled "issues with respect to choice of law". The seminars are part of a series of seminars hosted by the Swedish Arbitration Association and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of the series of seminars, which is run for the second time, is to educate young lawyers in Sweden to become arbitrators and to raise the level of knowledge and standard even higher in Swedish arbitration. Anders Reldén is also the principal (rektor) for this series of seminars.

Partner Anders Relden holds speach at seminar in Kiev
In November Partner Anders Reldén held a speach at a seminar in Kiev with the topic "Current Developments in Arbitration in Sweden". The overall topic for the three days seminar was "Problem issues of dispute resolution in international arbitration with participation of a state or state-owned entities". The seminar was arranged by the Ministry of Justice in Ukraine which had invited representatives of the leading law firms in international arbitration."
